A top-fermented ale, bitter, fruity, fresh and dry bitter after taste.
The first beer we brewed (1997) continuously and today is our best-selling product. The name Bedarö Bitter comes from the island off Nynäshamns port. This is a top fermented bitter ale, brewed in Pale Ale, Crystal and wheat malt from the London malt company Thomas Fawcett and seasoned with American hops, Chinook and Cascade. The beer is fermented in conical tanks and stored for four weeks. As all of our beer, it is unpasteurized - and brewed with care and love.
We have over the years won several awards for Bedarö Bitter and the finest was probably 2006 when the beer won the category "Best Swedish beer all categories" at the Stockholm Beer Festival.
This beer has since 2001 been sold at Systembolaget. First as a so-called private import where each piece must be specially ordered, that today have gained a large crowd of fans that led to the beer since 1 April 2009 available at most liquor stores. Missing Bedarö Bitter at your local liquor? Talk to the staff, they have to take home the number of bottles you want. You do not need to order a whole box of 20 bottles, but it's clear, the best is to order a few extra bottles so you do not run out as fast as in the pantry!
