From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Woodchuck Draft Cider is a brand of hard cider produced by Green Mountain Beverage in Middlebury, Vermont.
The company sells several types of cider under this brand name, including:
Amber - traditional New England cider
802 Dark & Dry - has caramelized sugar added, but is drier than Amber
Granny Smith - made from only Granny Smith apples
Pear - apple cider with natural pear
Raspberry - apple cider with a raspberry
In winter of 2008, Woodchuck started shipping a limited release of an oak-aged cider simply called Oak Aged. They also formerly produced a variety called Colonial, which was also aged in oak barrels.
Woodchuck Fall Cider, a cinnamon, nutmeg, and spicy cider with a hint of oak, was only available during autumn 2009.
In the spring of 2010, Woodchuck released a Limited Edition Spring Cider. Woodchuck Spring Cider exhibits a crispness of the Granny Smith apple with a complimentary balance of honey.
For the summer of 2010, Woodchuck released a Limited Release Summer Cider. Exhibiting a slight tartness, it begins with a full, robust flavor followed by a rich taste reminiscent of New England blueberries.
